Irish Sea 2050
Meeting the Challenges of Coastal and Marine Adaptation: This free event is for stakeholders from all around the Irish Sea. With tourism underpinning the regional economy and essential transport links under threat, North Wales’ climate change adaptation needs are especially challenging. A ‘Future Scenarios’ method will be used to identify ways to earn support for new strategies such as tidal impoundments linking coastal protection to clean energy and its effective uses and storage.
Partrac is lead on a research project on Turbulence in Marine Environments (TiME). Two papers on turbulence related to TiME will be presented at the 11th European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference EWTEC2015 in Nantes, France, from the 6th - 11thSeptember 2015. The papers will be given by project partner Ocean Array Systems, and turbulence device provider Rockland Scientific of Canada.
